Developing Psychological Safety Workshop develops capabilities for fostering a high-performance culture and productive, respectful, and inclusive peer relationships and workplaces.

Overview

In this half-day Developing Psychological Safety Workshop, team members and leaders learn how to foster a productive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture, identify gaps by reflecting on where they are now compared with the optimal ways of working, and set personalised action plans for strengthening psychological safety.

    • Emotions at Work: The impact of emotions on employee wellbeing, engagement, performance, and teamwork
    • Legal obligations regarding fostering psychologically safe work environments
    • Inclusion and respect—definition, characteristics, risks, gap analysis, mindful inclusion, upstander strategies, reflection and action plan
    • Mentally healthy work practices—definition, characteristics, risks, gap analysis, building resilience in oneself and others, reflection and action plan
    • Supportive manager and peer relationships—definition, characteristics, risks, gap analysis, responding productively to work stressors, building trust by giving and seeking feedback effectively, strengthening relationships in a hybrid environment, managing grievances resolving conflict effectively

    • Understanding the role of emotions at work and implications for individual and workgroup performance
    • An understanding of the nature, origin, and consequences of cognitive blindspots and bias

Approach 

Consistent with research on adult learning, we believe that the best learning outcomes result when participants engage holistically with program content. All Culture Plus Consulting learning and development programs incorporate experiential learning techniques, including opportunities to reflect on and apply learnings to the real-life challenges facing participants.

Optimal learning outcomes are achieved in a group size of 12-20 participants although larger group sizes can be accommodated. 

Delivery

The recommended length of the workshop is a half day (3 hours); however, shorter sessions are available on request. 

The workshop can be delivered virtually or face-to-face.
